Our Story

EarthCows was founded by Clairina Paquette, a licensed paralegal who grew up in Northern Ontario as a farmer’s daughter and still owns cows to this day. Clairina’s passion for farming began at a young age, and she bought her first cow when she was just 14 years old. Raised with a deep appreciation for local agriculture, Clairina recognized a significant gap: the challenge people faced in easily finding and purchasing from local farms. This realization sparked the creation of EarthCows, an online marketplace dedicated to connecting consumers with locally sourced food products.

Meet Clairina Paquette, the Founder of EarthCows

Clairina Paquette was raised on a small beef farm in Northern Ontario. She acquired her very first cow when she was 14 years old and still has cows at the farm today. Clairina is a licensed paralegal through the Law Society of Ontario and currently works for a company in the dairy industry.

Amanda

Amanda, the eldest cow in the Anvic Farms herd, was born in April 2012. She has been a part of the farm for many years and holds the title of the oldest cow in the herd. Over the years, Amanda has brought several calves into the world, some of whom remain in the herd today. She spends her days enjoying the company of her fellow cows and caring for her calf. Amanda holds a special place in Clairina’s heart, leading to her selection as EarthCows’ mascot. She thrives in the spotlight and delights in receiving neck scratches from admirers.
