Last week, the Canadian government approved a one time grocery store rebate due to the inflation caused by excessive government spending and corporate greed from grocery stores.
The obvious problem?
The grocery rebate is said to be a one time payment of 234$ for single Canadians and 467$ for a family. The inflation for food in recent years due to carbon tax increase, excessive money printing and corporate greed is much more than 400 dollars per year. This one time payment will only increase the amount of inflation that Canadians will pay since it increases the debt furthermore.
The government is not the solution to inflation that they themselves created!
The government is the cause of the inflation by putting a carbon tax on fuel and printing money to pay for their spending during the pandemic, overall, increasing the cost of living.
The solution?
By increasing competition to the monopolized grocery store system in Canada, you will be able to buy fresher, locally sourced delicious food, while also saving money in the long run. For example: when you buy a half of a cow for example, you save significant money on your beef for the whole year. Supporting local farmers also helps you reinvest into your own community instead of giving big bonus checks to grocery store CEOs.
